I’m Samantha, a Montrealer in my early 30s who’s been dreaming of escaping the endless cold winters for as long as I can remember. There’s just something magical about turquoise waters, swaying palm trees, and that warm, dreamy paradise vibe that calls my name every year.

Then there’s Louie, my 11-year-old Chihuahua partner-in-crime. He’s just as done with the chilly weather as I am! Watching him sprint across sandy beaches, trying (and hilariously failing) to catch the ocean waves, never fails to put a smile on my face.
